Lino Print

This was my final project for my printmaking class.  I used the reduction process on linoleum.  Since it was my final project; time was a factor and hence colors were compromised.

Yummy Dessert Keychain

Cuteness on a key chain!  Grab these before they're gone!  Or just stock up!  I know, I will!  I have cute key chains lined up the wazoo!  Heidi Kenney has done it again.  Just when you didn't think it was possible for her to make anything else so cute & adorable.

Alvin and the Chipmunks

Found this while looking for disposable cups.  It gave me a trip down memory lane.  I don't recall the birthday party but I do recall watching fondly "Alvin and the Chipmunks" on TV.  Here's a shout out to all you eighties babies out there.

Baked goodies

The cosmo cupcake from Crumbs.  Sadly not as good as it looks.

Hazelnut cake from Urth Cafe.  Wonderfully decadent and should be enjoyed w/coffee or tea.

"Despicable Me" Minion

Meet Kevin the Minion.

I made this minion because there was an utter lack of them.  I like the movie and love the minions.  It was to my surprise that Universal produced so little of them in plushie form.  Of what they did have was disappointing at best.  I took it upon myself to create one.   It's my first attempt at making a plushie.  I had made a doll before but that's a little different.  Kevin is made out of just felt and polyfill.

Disneyland

Mickey Mouse

To my delight, these were a surprise find in a Main St store.
They're inexpensive (esp for Disneyland) and a nice way to spruce up your keys!

Start your day off right w/French toast topped w/caramel apples & brown sugar glazed walnuts

My favs: sugar and bread!

Recipe: bread (any kind but I used thick white bread)
            egg
            nutmeg
            cinnamon
            vanilla extract
            milk
            water
            powder sugar
            brown sugar
            walnuts
            caramel apple
            maple syrup

Beat egg.  Then add cinnamon, nutmeg, a drop/two of vanilla extract, and a tsp of milk to egg mixture.  Beat until frothy.  Then soak bread in egg mixture.  Heat pan with butter.  When pan is hot add egg soaked bread.  Turn heat to medium low.  Cook until brown then flip and repeat.  In the meantime heat water with cinnamon in sauce pan.  When broiling add brown sugar.  Continue to heat the mixture until almost caramel consistency.  Then place chopped walnuts in mixture.  Set aside.  Place cooked French toast on plate and top with sliced caramel apples and brown sugar glazed walnuts.  Sprinkle powder sugar over the toast.  Serve with maple syrup on the side.
